On 28 May, 2014, the fourth partner meeting of a large scale project „Development of the unique Narva-Ivangorod fortresses ensemble as a single cultural and tourist object” took place in Ivangorod
Project activities are concentrated on restoration of Victoria bastion in Narva and the Small Powder Granary in Ivangorod and conservation of the Quadrangular fortress of 1492 .
Meeting participants got acquainted with Small Powder Granary reconstruction works and recorded significant progress – Small Powder Granary reconstruction works are in its final phase. Only interior finishing works are not ready yet. Restoration works were carried out by a well-known construction company „Stroitelnaya Cultura” that implemented construction works in Ivangorod fortress. Simultaneously the project staff prepares a new exposition to be placed on three floors of a new building.
During the meeting Travel Agency “ECLECTICA” director Igor Voyevodskiy presented information about training of guides in Ivangorod. 12 beginners as well as experienced guides took part in training. The training programme included lectures, acquaintance with diversified tourism objects, and naturally practical training, i.e. direct guided tours. The trained guides are the main resource for tourism development in Ivangorod.
Representatives of a brand agency “VolgaVolga” demonstrated the brand of the Ivangorod fortress, which they elaborated – logotype, slogan, decorative design elements. Everybody liked the suggested slogan – «The real past» – for its simplicity and at the same time for its versatility. It shows that the Ivangorod fortress is a real and genuine part of history, and this is its main value.
